Chris Reed is leaving SNL

Chris Reed announced his departure Saturday night live After five seasons in the cast, diverse reports. “Be a part SNL It was the experience of a lifetime. Five years ago, I joined 30 Rock knowing this is an amazing opportunity to grow,” Reed said in a statement. “Now with friends that have become family and memories I will cherish forever, I am grateful to Lorne Michaels and the entire ‘SNL’ organization. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank you all enough.”

Reed’s departure follows the departure of cast members Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Eddie Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, Melissa Felicino and Aristotle Athari. During his time on the show, Redd participated in several rap-themed music sketches. Some of his impressions included President Barack Obama (also known as a close friend of Bruce Springsteen), New York Mayor Eric Adams Kanye West (trying to avoid any Kardashians TV Time), Lil Wayne (plays The price is right)and Soulja Boy (discuss government shutdown) and Smokey Robinson (trying to pronounce Chanukah correctly). Won an Emmy for Best Original Music and Lyrics for SNL música com Chance the Rapper, “Come Back Barack.”
